1st Contact from PC Placement Office!

Well this isn't really anything huge, but for any readers who are following me along in the process, I thought I'd include it.
I was just contacted by a Student Aide from the PC Placement Office. She encouraged me to send her any updates to my resume or volunteer experience in order to make my application more competitive.
So I wrote back to her and expanded on my resume a bit.
Main point here? Things are moving along, and one or two people in DC are at this very moment deciding my fate.

Hi,

It's Nadine. :) I really, really, really hope that you can get the type of placement that you want. I understand what you mean about how it can be demoralizing when the PC acts like you aren't qualified to do much in their eyes. You work hard your whole life and people are quick to write you off before you even get started! Keep your head up, though!

I've been looking into alternative programs (NGOs, teaching abroad, etc.) just in case the medical office finds some way to disqualify me, but it seems like most programs are out to take your money or are scams in other ways. Discouraging.

We just have to stay positive, right? Right. :) Have a good week.
